Basic Gameplay Mechanics


The last few days have been busy. I’ve implemented some basic gameplay mechanics.

Apart from the work that went on unter the hood, here’s what’s new:

  • Buildings actually look like buildings now - kinda.
  • Maybe you can even identify the dumpsters.
  • You can buy vehicles now.

The visuals of the map objects will definitely become better, too. Especially the shopping cart 😂. But not by much. This game isn’t about graphics. Still, I bet this could look cool with a day and night cycle or something.

At some point there will be procedurally generated cities. But for now this little neighborhood will do.

Can you rise up to become a car owner? Maybe you can even get your hands on the pickup truck if you’re motivated enough.
